Grape: Magliocco 100%

This wine comes from their younger vines, planted on a sandy hillside from massal cuttings from older vines in 2007. The organically farmed fruit is harvested by hand, crushed partly in whole-clusters and fermented in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts and without the addition of sulfur. The wine is aged in tank before bottled unfiltered and lightly sulfured in the spring following the vintage.

The soils on the hills of Calabria lie on Tertiary calcareous rocks and sediments.

The southern part of Italy is also marked by dolomitic rocks and Quaternary alluvial deposits.

Rich in iron oxides, volcanic ashes, sand, and clay, the soils are ideal to grow vines.

An aromatic expression of red fruits and red berries, with a slight hint of spices. Lively and charming attack, with aromas of cherries, raspberries, and strawberries, plus spices in the finish.
