Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is “the king” of the Abruzzo varietals.

Emidio Pepe describes is as the wine of the future for its immediate beauty and his aging potential.

Grapes are crushed by hand in wooden vats. Fermentation is healthier in vitrified cement tanks of 22 or 30 hl, no added yeasts and without pumping.

Ageing process is in concrete tanks for 2 years then it is bottled by hand without straining and aging in bottle.
